Open Golf Championship '07

Situated in idyllic grounds adjacent to the old cathedral in St Andrews we have accommodation suitable for the golf visitor or for those interested in the beauty of St Andrews and its historic sites. Accommodation is within immediate walking access to the town with its numerous restaurants and bars and of course the miles of sandy beaches. 

St Andrews is an hour’s drive from Edinburgh or two hours from Glasgow, both of which have International airports. Carnoustie, the home of the 2007 Open Championship, is situated 22 miles along the coast from St Andrews approximately 43 minutes driving time.

Enjoy the golf at Carnoustie and the ambience by staying in the Home of Golf. During the last Open at Carnoustie a hovercraft service operated between St Andrews and Carnoustie.

Bed and Breakfast

We have 3 comfortable accommodation areas. Bishopshall, Ollerenshaw and St Rule are boarding houses and provide single and twin study bedrooms. Additionally, St Rule has 3 spacious open plan rooms sleeping up to six people in each. A full Scottish breakfast is available in our main dining facility.

Whilst the buildings are extremely comfortable and well served with rest areas the rooms are not en-suite; however, all rooms in Ollerenshaw have wash hand basins. Individual and Group bookings welcome.
